If there ever were any omens signalling the maturation of the desktop OS none have been so clear as that of the recent Windows 8 and now Apple Mac OS 10.9 a.k.a Mavericks.But we can't put it all on the OS, the maturation and stagnation is in the hardware for which the OS is intended for. I currently (as of this moment when I'm typing) have a total of 22 apps running in the background, and Safari still runs smooth as silk.Great job, Mavericks! I experienced no bugs, and loved the experience. Mavericks has cleared showed its power on managing tasks. With Windows, this procedure will most likely cause it to crash.The other thing I usually do is open a lot of apps while on my projects since I'll have to research and perform a lot of tasks, I didn't notice a single slowdown or a hit in the performance. When I hide the app, it puts it to sleep, so I can game on Steam.

And I find Mavericks' new technologies actually makes my machine overall run faster, then my almost-identically spec'd Windows machine.The way that Mavericks handle its tasks, saves a lot of RAM space, and makes the overall operation much faster.
